Youth Music announced as Charity Partner for HMA23

Youth Music has been unveiled as the Official Charity Partner for the Heavy Music Awards 2023.

The London-based organisation is the UK’s leading young people’s music charity, acting on their strong belief that every young person should have the chance to make, learn and earn in music and wider creativity - while their research shows that many can’t because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through.

Youth Music leverages their own insights, investment, and influence to build a national grassroots infrastructure that ensures the future of music is more inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible, a philosophy that tallies up perfectly with that of the Heavy Music Awards.

The London-based charity provides opportunities for young people to get ahead in the music industry. In their own words, “creating a world where every young person can make, learn and earn in music, whatever their background or goal.”

Youth Music’s CEO, Matt Griffiths says: “We’re honoured to be chosen as the Heavy Music Awards 2023 charity partner.

“At Youth Music, we believe that every young person should have access to make, learn and earn in music of every genre. That’s why we invest in the grassroots organisations and people making sure music isn’t just for the privileged. For almost 25 years, we’ve been building a more diverse pipeline of talent, which the music industries benefit from. And as we all know, greater diversity leads to even greater music.

“We’re looking forward to an exciting night at the OVO Arena Wembley.”

The Heavy Music Awards 2023 will take place at OVO Arena Wembley, London on Friday 26 May 2023. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Youth Music.
