Launched in 2017, the Heavy Music Awards democratically recognise the best of the year across the heavy music landscape – artists, events, photographers, designers, producers and more. With a panel of several hundred industry insiders nominating the finalists, the public has the final say on who wins.

HOW THE HEAVY MUSIC AWARDS WORK
At the beginning of each year, several hundred members of the music industry are invited to nominate their favourites from the previous calendar year in each of our open categories. These nominations are then tallied up to create shortlists for each category. The public then votes on each category, which decides the winners.
WHEN IS THE NEXT HEAVY MUSIC AWARDS?
The fourth annual Heavy Music Awards will take place on Thursday 21 May 2020 at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London. Tickets are available via random ballot to anyone voting in the public vote for HMA20.
There are ten publicly-voted categories at the HMAs, and one closed category – The H.
