Europe’s largest provider of contemporary music education, the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) is set to return for a fourth year as the Official Education Partner of the the Heavy Music Awards.
The partnership will once again see students from BIMM taking an active role in the HMAs process – work experience at the Heavy Music Awards offices, working as part of the HMAs team at the event itself, and building their contacts through meetings with a host of individuals from all corners of the industry.
Leo Nicholas, BIMM’s Head of Industry Liaison and Careers, said, “BIMM Institute is proud to be the Education Partner of the Heavy Music Awards, supporting them for the fourth consecutive year. The benefits of our connection between our students and the awards over the years have been fantastic and we see these grow year on year.”
Heavy Music Awards co-founder Andy Pritchard said, “It means a huge amount to us that we are able to continue our partnership with BIMM. The students who have been part of the programme previously have brought a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and ideas which have unquestionably shaped the HMAs – and we’re proud to say those students remain closely linked with the awards today.
“These students are already taking roles in the industry and will clearly go on to great things, so we’re excited to see what new ideas this year’s students can bring to the party, while offering them whatever help we can to find their path in music.”
